Casey is currently working as project and technical support for our United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Feed the Future Knowledge, Data, Learning, and Training (KDLT) project, managing the project’s technical resources and supporting project activities across KDLT teams. She supports the project’s onboarding processes, file and project management systems and technical implementation.
Casey is from Swansboro, North Carolina, and earned an M.A. in international development from University College Dublin in Ireland and a B.A. in political science from Virginia Tech. Prior to joining Bixal, she worked with various Washington, D.C. nonprofits, supporting new project implementation and developing new initiatives, expanding access to information in rural areas and establishing a cohort of practitioners across the country to examine the intersection of health and housing. Most recently, she served as a project coordinator on a Veterans Affairs (VA)-funded program. She also worked with a volunteer organization in Nepal providing disaster relief services. Outside of work, Casey enjoys hiking, camping, traveling and celebrating Christmas (at any time of the year!).
