Clarissa is the digital communications lead for the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID’s) Knowledge, Data, Learning and Training (KDLT) project. She oversees the Agrilinks and ResilienceLinks sites and leads the content, social media, communications and day-to-day design on both sites. She also manages all communications efforts for KDLT.
Raised in New York and Connecticut, Clarissa majored in international relations at the University of Rochester in 2012. Before Bixal, she served as the communications lead on an initiative focused on using technology to improve access to information, finance and food security. As part of this initiative, she developed and led local and global communications strategies in Liberia and India, where she produced videos, microsites and a variety of printed and digital collateral. Clarissa enjoys rock climbing, hiking, yoga, cooking, listening to podcasts, playing board games and Dungeons and Dragons and being with her family. Among her many interests, she enjoys brainstorming business ideas.
