Emilia currently works with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on improvements to their public website. She also supports the USAID Feed the Future Knowledge, Data, Learning, and Training (KDLT) initiative, improving their Agrilinks and ResilienceLinks websites.
Emilia is from Annapolis, Md., and received her bachelor’s in international affairs from American University. Prior to joining Bixal, Emilia worked in government relations at a nonprofit advocacy group and wrote proposals for USAID contracts in the development sector before becoming a UX designer. Emilia served with AmeriCorps after college at a nonprofit incorporating entrepreneurship education in Los Angeles Public Schools. When she is not working, Emilia enjoys running, traveling, cooking international food and playing celebrity trivia. She is also an avid gamer and loves open worlds with a rich storyline.
