Ivan Borisov

Senior Knowledge and Information Systems Specialist

At Bixal, Ivan is the senior knowledge and information systems specialist working on platforms management under Program Cycle Mechanism, a contract with USAID’s Bureau for Policy, Planning and Learning. Ivan manages an internal USAID platform called ProgramNet, which helps to disseminate tools, resources and guidance to help USAID staff in their work. He also works on an external Learning Lab, which allows USAID to provide tools and resources to implementing partners in the field.

Ivan has a B.A. in education from Saratov State University in Saratov, Russia, where he grew up. He also holds an M.A. in Russian and Slavonic studies from the University of Missouri and an M.S. in library and information science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has spent his career managing USAID platforms under the Learning and Knowledge Management (LEARN) contract and directed international startup accelerator programs with a D.C. nonprofit. In his spare time, Ivan enjoys biking, running, reading and camping.
