James Mejia

Front-End Developer

James is a contributor to the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS) — a framework that helps improve and create better government websites. He is also working on the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) project, which supports states and territories to more easily prepare and review plans for getting people trained and back to work.

Prior to Bixal, James worked as a web designer, creating, building and maintaining dozens of websites for a global consumer products corporation. He was also a front-end developer at a Drupal agency. Originally from Los Angeles, James received his B.A. in graphic design. He also is certified as an Acquia Drupal front-end specialist. James is a big soccer fan and when he’s not working, he enjoys watching the sport and reading about the history, tactics and legends of the game. James also likes diving into new technology, as well as sharpening his programming skills.
