At Bixal, Jeff works on the development and maintenance of web sites for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), including DEA.gov, developing new features, fixing defects and performing the maintenance necessary to keep the site secure and available.
Originally from the New York City area, Jeff earned a B.S. in computer science from Kean University. Before joining Bixal, he was involved in various work, including writing back-office apps in assembler and IBM mainframe applications, consulting on Wall Street and working on the 94th floor of the World Trade Center. Jeff implemented distribution systems in Europe; led a team providing OS source code level support to country support centers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa; provided technical support for sales to the chief information officers (CIOs) of several Fortune 100 companies; contributed to or led web projects for numerous agencies, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the DEA and others; and was the managing consultant for a global consulting practice. Outside of work, Jeff likes distance running, creative and technical writing, photography, spending time with his pets and traveling. Surprising facts about Jeff are that he’s run a full marathon, has been to the top of the inside of the Great Pyramid and used to show jump horses.
