
Kathleen Shanahan
Kathleen is the project manager for MedlinePlus, a consumer health information site from the National Library of Medicine (NLM). Kathleen also works as a health librarian for a Bixal subcontractor. In this role, she writes and reviews plain language health content for MedlinePlus and works on other projects related to content for the site.
Kathleen has a B.A. in international relations and French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also has a Master of International Affairs from the University of California San Diego. Prior to her work with Bixal, she worked as a reference librarian at both NLM and American University. Outside of work, Kathleen enjoys reading, cooking, traveling and listening to music and podcasts.
