Lisa currently works on training documentation and facilitation for a new grants management system for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ). The system she works on encompasses the entire grants management process from solicitation to award closeout and has been in development for several years. The system rolled out in October 2020 to several hundred internal users and over 30,000 potential grantees.
Originally from Morrison, Ill., Lisa received a Bachelor of Arts in government and international relations from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. She is currently considering a master’s degree program in instructional design technology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champagne. Before she joined Bixal, Lisa was a curriculum developer at a multinational information technology company. In her free time, she is active in Girl Scouts as a troop leader and is certified as a slingshot and tomahawk facilitator for her troop. Lisa coaches Odyssey of the Mind and is on the board of directors for her local swim team. She also supports causes such as voting equality and pay equity.
