Talent Acquisition Manager

Shirley is Bixal’s talent acquisition associate responsible for identifying, acquiring, assessing and hiring candidates to fill open or future roles (full-cycle recruiting). She also develops recruitment marketing strategies with the marketing team and proposes changes to improve our talent acquisition strategy and strengthen our employer brand. Shirley is an active brand ambassador, working on building long-lasting relationships with our candidates.

Shirley has a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a master’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She also has an Associate of Science in architectural technology from Montgomery College. Before working at Bixal, Shirley worked as a human resources analyst for an oil company in Lima, Peru, and as a human resources manager and electrical designer for an engineering company in Maryland. Outside of work, Shirley is a volunteer at a couple of dog rescue centers in Lima, Peru. She loves spending her free time traveling, taking pictures, cooking and doing yoga.
