Bringing 20 years of experience to the Bixal team, Lisa is a well-rounded professional with a background in technical writing, training, and instructional design for multiple federal and commercial organizations. Lisa currently supports a Department of Justice project as an instructional designer and training specialist. Her previous experience includes documentation support for a USDA program, as well as training support for the NOAA Finance office. She has also created eLearning libraries for applications that manage workflow and constituent communication for US House and Senate offices, as well as governors’ offices and multiple Federal agencies. She began her career as an instructional designer creating and deploying an eLearning library for Micros systems (now Oracle) for hotel software used to manage reservations, hotel stays, food and beverage, and housekeeping. In this capacity, she supported Intercontinental Hotel Group, Ritz-Carlton, Wyndham Hotels, and Radisson Hotels, among others. She is passionate about creating engaging, user-centered learning that stimulates learners to accept and apply new tools and concepts.
Lisa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government and International Relations from George Mason University, and has plans to complete a Master’s degree in Political Science. She is an active Girl Scout Leader, coaches an Odyssey of the Mind team, and serves on the Board of Directors for her local swim team.
