Casey is the cloud infrastructure lead with Bixal. He currently supports or has supported: Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), Knowledge, Learning, and Training (KDLT), U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) DEVELOP as well as internal Bixal projects.
Before joining Bixal, Casey was a site reliability engineer (SRE) for IronNet Cybersecurity. Prior to that, he was a senior linux systems engineer at the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE). Casey has a B.S. in computer networks and cybersecurity, graduating summa cum laude from the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). He also completed his M.S. in Information technology with a systems engineering specialization, also from UMGC. Originally from Michigan (near the Ann Arbor area), Casey has volunteered his time with Rebuilding Together, and supports other causes including: climate change, civil rights, the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). In his personal time, Casey enjoys cooking, reading science fiction, cheering on his wife, Amy, as she performs in musical theatre productions, and playing with his family dog, Penny.
