Rick supports Bixal’s marketing and communications operations efforts. Combining his passion for technology and digital media, Rick develops creative strategies and uses his stellar digital consulting skills to promote the visibility of our organization through our website, branding and external marketing. Rick is a certified Scrum product owner (CSPO) and holds certifications in Google AdWords and Google Analytics.
Hailing from Augusta, Ga., Rick attended the University of Kentucky, where he received B.A. degrees in journalism and communications. He went on to earn an M.P.S. in sports industry management and digital marketing from Georgetown University and is currently working towards an M.A. in creative business leadership from Savannah College of Art and Design. Before he joined Bixal, Rick held multiple positions in the traditional communications arena, as well as digital communications and multimedia services for various organizations, ranging from small tech startups to globally recognized sports organizations. Rick worked for ESPN, Monumental Sports & Entertainment, and D.C. United, making contributions in creative and digital strategies, client success, production, content marketing, and media relations. In his free time, Rick supports Meals on Wheels and the wounded veterans’ organization Operation Hat Trick. He enjoys seeing live music and is a soccer devotee, following the English Premier League religiously.
