As global health director, Stephanie supports the program management and business development of Bixal’s global health portfolio, which includes partnership development, capture management and proposal development. Her portfolio includes oversight of USAID, Millennium Challenge Corporation and Global Fund projects providing digital health and health programs.
Prior to joining Bixal Stephanie led the start-up of various country-level HIV prevention, care and treatment programs to reduce HIV among vulnerable populations and led the final phase of a multisite non-communicable disease program to strengthen community-based approaches to improve health outcomes among diabetic and hypertensive patients. She is experienced working with U.S. government institutions and academic and local organizations. Her expertise includes capacity-building, sustainability, community engagement, local partnership/ownership, patient engagement and bridging the gap between community and clinical services. Stephanie is from Reston, Va., and has a bachelor's degree in international studies from George Mason University and a master's degree in public health from Tulane University. She is passionate about democracy, human rights and animal rights. Stephanie loves bike riding, swimming, learning new recipes and is a news junkie.
